Rogers wins 'Best in Test' in umlaut's fixed broadband benchmark report

Rogers Ignite Internet™ ranked Canada's Best Performing Home Internet, leading in upload and download speeds amongst national carriers

Rogers Communications today announced it has taken the top spot in umlaut's first Canadian fixed broadband report, winning Best In Test, fastest upload and download speeds and scoring more than 60% higher than its nearest competitor in average download speeds amongst national Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

"More than ever, much of the Canadian economy has moved into the home and people are counting on the highest performing internet where they work and play," said Jorge Fernandes, Chief Technology Officer at Rogers. "Today's recognition by umlaut confirms what we have known for some time - that Rogers customers enjoy connecting to the best performing home internet in the country."

With the fastest upload and download speeds in Canada, Rogers Ignite Internet customers can enjoy the benefits of Canada's best performing home internet, connecting more devices simultaneously at home and powering the latest advances in television and streaming with Ignite TV and Ignite Smartstream.

umlaut examined real customer usage from millions of device measurements across top ISPs and found Rogers customers have the fastest and best performing internet, along with the highest upload and download speed scores. Focused on real user experience, ISPs were selected based on statistically relevant factors, including number of lines, nationwide geographical distribution, population coverage and number of samples. For the extensive analysis, more than 140,000 lines, contributed 10.3 million samples over 24 weeks between February 2021 and July 2021.
