Daniel Hammer appointed Corporate Secretary The Board of Directors of Romande Energie Holding SA has appointed Daniel Hammer as its Corporate Secretary and as Group General Counsel. He will take up this position at a date to be announced in due course.

As Corporate Secretary, Daniel Hammer will manage the boards of Romande Energie and those of many of its subsidiaries, as well as overseeing the legal department. As member of the Group's Management Committee, he will also participate in defining and crystallising business strategy as well as developing and strengthening alliances.

Daniel Hammer holds a law degree and an executive qualification in corporate communications. He has also completed a course on negotiating skills at Harvard Law School. Since 2007, he has been Corporate Secretary for Swiss Media, the umbrella association of private media companies in French-speaking Switzerland. Between 1999 and 2007, he was town clerk for the Lausanne municipal council. In 1997 and 1998, he was employed as research assistant by the Institute of Federalism (University of Fribourg).

Daniel Hammer will succeed Pierre Oberson, who left the Group on 31 January to become the Corporate Secretary of Groupe E, a power provider in the cantons of Fribourg and Neuchâtel.
