Rosan Resources Holdings Limited reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the six months ended June 30, 2017. For the six months, the company reported revenue of HKD 285,875,000 compared to HKD 360,785,000 a year ago. The decrease in revenue was primarily due to the suspension of coal mines during most of the time of the Period. Loss before income tax was HKD 41,847,000 compared to HKD 146,454,000 a year ago. Loss for the period was HKD 41,847,000 compared to HKD 150,459,000 a year ago. Loss for the period attributable to owners of the company was HKD 38,528,000 compared to HKD 137,044,000 a year ago. The reasons for the decrease in net loss attributable to the owners of the company were mainly due to the decrease in gross loss as explained in the precedent paragraph; the decrease in impairment loss on certain assets; and the decrease in total administrative expenses during the Period. Basic and diluted loss per share was 5.406 cents compared to 19.229 cents a year ago.
