During a dialogue with 100 winners of the All-Russian Energy Leaders competition, the company representatives discussed topical issues in the industry. The event was timed to coincide with Power Engineer's Day.

The meeting was attended by Andrey Murov, First Deputy General Director - Executive Director, Andrey Mayorov, First Deputy Director General - Chief Engineer, Alexey Molsky, Deputy Director General for Investments, Capital Construction and Sales of Services, and Konstantin Kravchenko, Acting Deputy Director General for Digital Transformation.

The primary topics of the meeting included the current issues of the power grid and the prospects for its development until 2035, the role of Rosseti Group in the energy transition, and the implementation of the ESG agenda. The participants also discussed the current requirements for the training of future power engineers, the demand for working specialties in the long run, the development of the training and personnel training system with due account for the challenges of our time.

This year, the Energy Leaders competition included three tracks: "Service implementation and electricity metering", "Operational and technological management", "Digital transformation". The qualifying events were held throughout the year; following their results, the participants' intellectual abilities and professional competencies, managerial potential, teamwork skills and ability to build constructive relationships in a team were assessed. The contestants completed most of the tasks remotely.

"The competition was strong, 3 440 power engineers from various fuel and energy companies have been striving for the victory this year. This project is of great importance for Rosseti Group. It allows us to find talented, motivated and promising specialists for solving urgent industry problems, including those related to the grid adaptation to the energy transition. The participants gain an opportunity to build up their competencies and fulfill their career potential," Andrey Murov noted.

All the competition winners are included in the managerial talent pool of Rosseti Group. In addition, they received educational grants and certificates for access to the electronic library, which will allow them to implement an individual program for developing and improving their competencies.

Energy Leaders is the first industry project, which is carried out according to the Leaders of Russia competition methodology. It was organized by PJSC Rosseti in partnership with ANO "Russia Is the Country of Opportunities" for middle-ranking executives with the aim to form a managerial talent pool from among talented and motivated specialists and create a "social lift" for power engineers. In 2021, the competition was held for the second time.
