The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the First Eurasian Congress in Moscow. The agreement is aimed at enhancing international cooperation and developing foreign economic activity, including implementation of projects in the power sector in the EDB member countries - Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.

The document was signed by Aleksandr Zaragatsky, Rosseti's First Deputy Director General, and Amangeldy Issenov, Deputy Chairman of the EDB Management Board.

The bank intends to contemplate a possibility of financing Rosseti's relevant projects. The company, in its turn, undertakes to consider implementation of projects proposed by EDB.

The parties intend to jointly assess the investment potential of the territories that may be of interest to Rosseti, as well as the economic feasibility of certain investment projects in the power sector, the development of power grids and ensuring the technological connectivity of facilities located within the EDB member states.

Implementation of the agreements reached will serve the development of economic ties in the Eurasian space. Rosseti and the company's partners will embrace new opportunities to promote their own products, experience and competencies, including practical solutions in today's most promising digital sphere. In general, it will also contribute to the growth of knowledge-intensive service export in Russia.

'Strong cross-border infrastructure, as well as the implementation of joint projects in energy and digital transformation sectors, in our opinion, create considerable potential for enhancing socio-economic ties in the Eurasian space', highlighted Aleksandr Zaragatsky, Rosseti's First Deputy Director General.
