Royal Gold, Inc. announced earnings results for the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the year, the company announced sales was USD 615.856 million compared to USD 498.819 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 337.602 million compared to USD 198.945 million a year ago. Net income was USD 302.532 million compared to USD 199.343 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 4.61 compared to USD 3.04 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 4.6 compared to USD 3.03 a year ago. For the quarter, sales was USD 168.027 million compared to USD 119.965 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 85.967 million compared to USD 44.576 million a year ago. Net income was USD 81.677 million compared to USD 49.015 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.24 compared to USD 0.75 a year ago.

The Company's segments include Acquisition and Management of Stream Interests, and Acquisition and Management of Royalty Interests. The Acquisition and Management of Stream Interests segment includes a metal stream, which is a purchase agreement that provides the right to purchase all or a portion of one or more metals produced from a mine, at a price determined for the life of the transaction by the purchase agreement. The Acquisition and Management of Royalty Interests segment includes non-operating interests in mining projects that provide the right to revenue or metals produced from the project after deducting specified costs, if any. The Company owns interests on approximately 178 properties on five continents, including interests on 37 producing mines and 22 development stage projects.
