Press Release on the Outcomes of SIIL Board of Directors Meeting Held on 06/02/2017

The Board of Directors (BOD) of Salam International Investment Limited (SIIL) held its meeting on Monday, 06/02/2017 and passed the following resolutions:

1. 1. General Assembly

The BOD decided to call the General Assembly of the Company for the annual ordinary meeting taking place on 26/02/2017.

1. Financial Results for 2016 and Auditor's Report:

The BOD approved the consolidated financial statements for the year ending 31/12/2016 and Auditors Report, and recommends the General Assembly to ratify it.

The audited financial statements for 2016 showed a net profit of QR 119.7 million where the profit attributable to owners of the company amounted to approximately QR 114.2 million. This compares to the profit attributable to owners of the company in 2015 amounting to QR 113.2 million. Consequently; the earnings per share for the year 2016 is around QR 1 compared to QR 0.99 for 2015.

1. 3. Dividend Distribution for 2016:

The BOD recommends the General Assembly in its next meeting to approve the distribution of cash dividends worth 8 % of the company's paid up capital, which equates to QR 0,80 per share. The beneficiaries are shareholders registered on the day of the General Assembly, which will approve both the financial statements for 2016 and proposed distribution of dividends.

1. 4. The 7 Annual Corporate Governance Report (2016):

The BOD discussed the seventh annual corporate governance report (2016) and decided to present it to the General Assembly for review.
