Essence Securities Co., Ltd. announced that it has entered into a capital increase agreement for private placement of 3,000,000,000 common shares for gross proceeds of CNY 7,943,937,870.70 on August 5, 2020. The transaction will include participation from returning investors, SDIC Capital Co., Ltd. (SHSE:600061) for 2,999,906,250 shares for CNY 7,943,689,622.64 and Shanghai Yisheng Investment Co.,Ltd. for 93,750 shares for CNY 248,248.06. The investors, SDIC Capital Co.,Ltd (SHSE:600061) and Shanghai Yisheng Investment Co.,Ltd. will continue to retain its 99.9969% and 0.0031% stake in the company respectively. Prior to the capital increase, the company has a registered capital of CNY 7,000,000,000 with 7,000,000,000 common shares, SDIC Capital Co.,Ltd holds 6,999,781,251 shares and Shanghai Yisheng Investment Co.,Ltd. holds 218,749 shares. Post completion of the capital increase, the number of the shares held by SDIC Capital Co.,Ltd will increase from 6,999,781,251 shares to 9,999,687,501 shares and Shanghai Yisheng Investment Co.,Ltd. will increase from 218,749 shares to 312,499 shares.
