SDIC Essence (Holdings) Co., Ltd. (SHSE:600061) agreed to acquire SDIC Capital Holding Co., Ltd. from State Development & Investment Corporation on October 10, 2016. As per the terms of the deal, SDIC Essence (Holdings) Co will acquire 100% stake in SDIC Capital Holdings Co., Ltd. from State Development & Investment Corporation in cash. As of December 8, 2016, SDIC Essence (Holdings) Co., Ltd. (SHSE:600061) signed the conditional share transfer agreement to acquire SDIC Capital Holding Co., Ltd. from State Development & Investment Corporation. The transaction was approved by the Board of SDIC Essence (Holdings) Co., Ltd. in the 6th session of the 7th directorate meeting and its shareholders on December 27, 2016.
SDIC Capital Co., Ltd, formerly SDIC Essence (Holdings) Co., Ltd, is a China-based company principally engaged in the securities business. The Company operates through five segments. The Brokerage segment manily includes brokerage business of securities and futures and the agent sales of financial products. Entrusted Asset Management segment mainly includes the pooled asset management, directional asset management and specific asset management. Proprietary Business segment mainly invests the Companyâs funds in equity securities, fixed income securities and derivatives and is involved in the market making business in the new over-the-counter (OTC) market. Investment Banking segment includes stock financing, bond financing, mergers and acquisitions and financial advisory services.
