Kabuni Ltd. announced the appointment of Mr. Frans Tjallingii, as Chief Operating Officer (COO) commencing November 7th, 2016. Mr. Tjallingii has extensive commercial, business development, organizational development and strategy experience in the Marine and Oil and Gas industries. Currently, he leads the Canadian presence of SAAM SMIT Towage, a leader in the harbor towage industry. He started his career in business development at a consulting engineering firm. Mr. Tjallingii then worked for the Netherlands Government dealing with international maritime environmental treaties and conventions. He joined SMIT in 2004 (currently part of Royal Boskalis Westminster) where he has performed both market and investment analysis and set-up, analyzed and/or helped restructure multiple companies.
