GALS Development : Celebrate the Defender’s Day with Spasskaya Tower at the Central Children’s Store in Luybyanka

A gala concert will take place on February the 24th to celebrate the Defender's Day and the Centenary of the Russian Army at the Central Children's Store in Luybyanka with the support of the Spasskaya Tower Directorate

On Saturday the 24th, all Central Children's store visitors will be offered performances by four talented children's bands, permanent participants of the Children's Bands Festival held in the framework of the Spasskaya Tower for Children programme.

The audience will be offered performances by wind bands of the Children's Wind Instruments Music School No. 2 under V. Isaev, Children's Music School named after A. Goldenweizer under A. Volkov, Music Association of the Academic Preparatory School No. 1534 under K. Vasolyonok, Children's Music School named after V. Stasov under its artistic director and chief conductor, honoured artist of Russia R. Imaev.

Spasskaya Tower for Children project launched in 2012 was established by the initiative of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival to enhance patriotic values in the young generations.

The programme of the project is very extensive; it includes a lot of entertainment and educational events: the Festival of Children's and Youth Wind Bands, the Interregional Competition of Youth Honor Guards, musical flash mobs, master classes and much more.

The Directorate of the Festival pays serious attention to the development of its social program, constantly increasing and improving daytime activities at the riding arena and at the children's area, which everyone can freely visit during the Festival.

In 2018, the Eleventh Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival will be held August 24th to September 2nd, 2018 on Red Square.
