Shiloh Industries Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended July 31, 2016. Revenue for the third quarter was $248.8 million, down from $266.1 million in the third quarter of 2015, due mainly to changes in customer production schedules and fewer shipping days in the quarter. Income before tax was $1.0 million with a net loss of $0.3 million, or $0.02 per share, after higher tax expense compared with income before tax of $4.5 million net income of $2.0 million, or $0.11 per share, in the third quarter of 2015. Adjusted EBITDA was $17.2 million, compared to $14.5 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2015. Operating income was $6.1 million compared to $7.5 million a year ago. EBITDA was $15.42 million, compared to $16.75 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2015. Diluted adjusted earnings per share (non-GAAP) were $0.06 compared to $0.06 a year ago.

Revenue for the nine months was $784.2 million, compared to $784.2 million a year ago. Loss before tax was $2.8 million with a net loss of $2.35 million, or $0.13 per share, compared with income before tax of $16.5 million net income of $10.8 million, or $0.62 per diluted share a year ago. Operating income was $11.2 million compared to $22.35 million a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was $48.2 million compared to $17.5 million a year ago. Capital expenditures were $18.24 million compared to $24.04 million a year ago.

The company expects full-year 2016 effective tax rate to be approximately 40%.
