NEW YORK (AP) _ Solar Senior Capital Ltd. (SUNS) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $8.6 million.

The New York-based company said it had profit of 54 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for investment gains, were 30 cents per share.

The business development company posted revenue of $7.9 million in the period.

Solar Senior shares have dropped 26% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $12.95, a decrease of 27% in the last 12 months.
