1. Influencing Factors

2. Regular maintenance and repair work

   ・Toyo Smelter & Refinery (electrolytic copper) No maintenance or repair work planned

   ・Hyuga Smelting Co., Ltd. (ferronickel)

   Of the two kiln lines on the premises, maintenance work on one line will be carried out for 7 days in September and for 37 days over January and February, and work on the other line is scheduled to take place for 7 days in September and for 14 days over January and February.

   
   

3. Production Overview

   ・Electrolytic copper

   There are no plans to implement mandatory maintenance work in FY2016, and the planned production volume will increase by 25,700t from that of FY2015 to 445,200t.

   ・Electrolytic nickel

   Full operation is planned to continue in FY2016, and production is planned to be 65,100t - the maximum capacity of the facilities.

   ・Ferronickel

   Plans are in place in FY2016 to shift from operation with two kilns and two electric furnaces to operation with two kilns and one furnace (the optimum production setup in terms of the current ore procurement environment) and the planned production volume is 14,200t - a 5,800t decrease in comparison with FY2015.
