Tecnologia Avanzata dei Sistemi : Card3.0 brilliantly exceeds WOLA benchmark at IBM’s Client Center Montpellier

A very satisfactory final outcome of the 5 weeks benchmark conducted in Montpellier Laboratories, where TAS and IBM experts have jointly testedCard3.0, the Card Management System of the Cashless3.0™ suite, entirely developed on JAVA EE technology, with an integration of CICS, web services and WebsSphere z/OS Optimized Local Adapters (WOLA) components.

A dedicated environment was setup for performance tuning and code optimization resultingin all test cases succeeding with response time between 8 and 10 milliseconds.

WOLA is becoming the reference architecture for large banking groups in the process of modernizing their mission critical applications. During the benchmark TAS solution has demonstrated outstanding throughputs (1000 TPS), being also exposed to failure scenarios, where it proved capable of sustaining best performance with errors and rollbacks without keeping any incorrect row in the database or having fatal error.

Back in 2016, a first successful benchmark was performed to test and optimize TAS Cashless 3.0 (End-to-end card payment solution and universal management solution for card and token related payments) running on IBM zSystem with z/OS, WAS and DB2.

Card3.0 from the Cashless3.0 suite can now claim to be among the first e-money solutions worldwide having obtained WOLA certification from the renowned IBM Mainframe Benchmark Center in Montpellier.
