Ternium Announces Annual General Meeting of Shareholders
Luxembourg, March 19, 2019 - Ternium S.A. (NYSE: TX) announced today that its annual general meeting of shareholders will be held on Monday May 6, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. (Central European Time) at the Company's registered office, located at 29, avenue de la Porte-Neuve, L-2227, Luxembourg. Each holder of Ternium ADRs as of March 29, 2019, are entitled to instruct The Bank of New York Mellon, as depositary bank, as to the exercise of the voting rights in respect of the Company's shares underlying such holder's ADRs.
The Notice and Agenda for the Meeting, the Shareholder Meeting Brochure and Proxy Statement, the Company's 2018 annual report and other documents for the meeting, are available to shareholders on the Investor Center's section of the Company's website atwww.ternium.com.The 2018 annual report includes the Company's consolidated financial statements as of December 31, 2018 and 2017 and for the years ended December 31, 2018, 2017 and 2016, together with the board of directors' and the independent auditors' reports thereon, and the Company's annual accounts as of December 31, 2018, together with the independent auditors' reports thereon. Ternium S.A. is a producer of steel products. The Company produces finished and semi-finished steel products and iron ore, which are sold either directly to steel manufacturers, steel processors or end users. The Company operates through two segments: Steel and Mining. The Steel segment includes the sales of steel products and the Mining segment includes the sales of iron ore products, which are primarily inter-company. The Steel segment comprises three operating segments: Mexico, the Southern Region and Other Markets. In the steel segment, steel products include slabs, billets and round bars (steel in its basic, semi-finished state), hot-rolled coils and sheets, bars and stirrups, wire rods, cold-rolled coils and sheets, tin plate, hot dipped galvanized and electrogalvanized sheets and pre-painted sheets, steel pipes and tubular products, beams, roll-formed products, and other products. In the mining segment, iron ore is sold as concentrates (fines) and pellets.
