URS Formalizes Participation in Department of Defense Program
Company joins Defense Industrial Base Cyber Security and Information Assurance Program

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -  June 24, 2013 -  URS Corporation has joined the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Cyber Security and Information Assurance (CS/IA) program, a collaborative information sharing partnership between industry and the U.S. Government.

The goal of the DIB CS/IA program is to protect sensitive unclassified Department of Defense (DoD) program and technology information residing on or passing through DIB systems. Through bilateral information sharing, the DIB CS/IA Program improves DIB network defenses and allows participating companies and the government to minimize potential damage to critical programs should defense information be compromised. By joining in this significant program, DIB companies and the government agree to share cyber security information out of a common concern for the safeguard of sensitive but unclassified information related to DoD programs on DIB company networks.

Commenting on the significance of joining the program, Randall A. Wotring, President of Federal Services for URS, said: "Acceptance into the DIB CS/IA program signifies URS' role in advancing and supporting the U.S. government's efforts to improve the cyber security posture of both public and private critical infrastructure and reduce intrusion risks to DoD systems."
