LEHI, Utah (AP) _ Vivint Solar Inc. (VSLR) on Wednesday reported a loss of $1.2 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Lehi, Utah-based company said it had a loss of 1 cent.

The residential solar energy system company posted revenue of $106.4 million in the period.

Vivint Solar shares have more than tripled since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $25.57, more than tripling in the last 12 months.
