Waberer's Group has successfully completed the acquisition of 55% of MDI in Serbia

Budapest, 28 March 2024. - WABERER'S INTERNATIONAL Nyrt. (hereinafter: "Waberer's" or "Company") hereby announces that pursuant to the sale and purchase agreement signed on 6 October 202311, the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary WSZL Kft. ("WSZL") today completed the acquisition of a 55% stake in MD International of Serbia ("MDI"). As part of the transaction, WSZL acquired an option to acquire an additional 45% stake and a 0.1% stake in MDI Dobanovci, a company that was carved-out from MDI as part of the transaction, which owns 8.5 hectares of land for logistics center development in the municipality of Dobanovci, near Belgrade. If the planned logistics center obtains the necessary construction permits, WSZL will increase its capital in MDI Dobanovci, thereby also reaching a 55% stake in this company.

Zsolt Barna, Chairman and CEO of Waberer's International Plc, said at the closing of the acquisition that the Group's strategy, presented last year, will be achieved through a combination of organic development, investments and acquisitions. The acquisition of a majority stake in MDI effectively supports these objectives and is the first major acquisition in a series. Waberer's is committed to further growth and aims to become the leading complex logistics service provider in the Eastern European region by 2027 and is exploring further regional acquisitions.
