Regarding the investigation report issued by KFTC. KFTC has announced
its decision today to impose KRW 96.2 billion on 23 liners.
7.Cause of occurrence:
To Clarify the fine amount in the reporting media.
8.Countermeasures:The Company has not yet received the written deposition from
the competent authority, and the reported fine amount of KRW 11.51 billion
(approximately NT$290 million) has no significant adverse influence on the
Company's financial and business operations.  The follow-up conducting
treatment will be further discussed with lawyers to protect the
company's rights and interests after the Company receives the written
disposition from the competent authority.
