Letter from the Board

The Management Board of Wolford AG: Andrew Thorndike and Silvia Azzali

Dear readers,

Due to Covid-19, we are all facing new challenges. Particularly regarding the safety of our employees, we took comprehensive measures at an early stage to keep the infection as low as possible. In this context, our Corona Taskforce, is responsible for reporting and to communicate regulations in order to prevent infections by means of a hygiene concept (page 32).

In addition to protect our employees, sustainability is at the core of our business. Our headquarters is located right on the shore of one of the most significant water reservoirs in Europe. Since the very beginning, in 1950, we have adhered to strict environmental protection regulations. It is no coincidence that Wolford is one of the first fashion brands, to have a dedicated Cradle-to Cradle® Collection with more than 20 Gold certified styles in both the biodegradable and technical cycle.

Against this backdrop, we developed a sustainability strategy that faces a transition to recyclable products. By the year 2025, half of our products should be either a part of the biodegradable or technical cycle according to Cradle- to Cradle®. This conversion impacts the material elastane and above all the polyamide we use - which comprise more than half of the yarn we purchase.

Our reputation depends on the quality and comfort of our products - in addition to continuously controlled manufacturing processes, this requires a critical selection of materials used as well as qualified employees who work under optimal conditions and undergo continuous training. We are also the first SKINWEAR brand in the world to have met the bluesign® standard, aiming to ensure the usage of chemicals that are safe for the people as well as the environ- ment.

Notwithstanding our own production, Wolford naturally cannot get by without suppliers, whether companies providing yarn or components of ready-to-wear products or lingerie. With this in mind, we carry out regular audits to ensure that our standards are met.

To implement our sustainability strategy and reach our goals, we need motivated employees - we would like to take this opportunity to thank them all. We are confident that they will continue to push us to contribute to Wolford's commitment to operating in an increasingly sustainable way for a fashion beyond next season.

We hope you enjoy reading this report and we look forward to receiving your suggestions and criticism.

Silvia Azzali, CCO
