Appointment of Non-Executive Directors

Harworth Group plc (the 'Company' or 'Harworth'), a leading regenerator of land and property for development and investment, is pleased to announce the appointments of Ruth Cooke and Angela Bromfield as Non-Executive Directors. Ruth Cooke's appointment will take effect on 19^th March 2019. Angela Bromfield's appointment will take effect on 1^st April 2019.

Ruth Cooke will join the Audit Committee and Angela Bromfield will join the Remuneration and Audit Committees, in each case with effect from the date of their respective appointments. Steven Underwood will cease to be a member of the Remuneration and Audit Committees with effect from 1^st April 2019.

Ruth Cooke was Finance Director (from 2008 to 2012) and then Chief Executive (from 2012 to 2018) of Midland Heart, the housing association group operating across central England. Prior to that, she held senior finance and resourcing roles at Knightstone, a housing association based in the South West, and Anchor Trust, a provider of housing and care to those aged 55 years old and above. She has held a number of voluntary and non-executive positions in the social housing and retirement community sector. She is Chair of Connexus Housing and a member of West Midlands Housing Association Partnership. She is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Chartered Corporate Treasurer.

Angela Bromfield has extensive commercial strategy, marketing and communications executive experience. She was Strategic Marketing & Communications Director at Morgan Sindall plc until 2013 and prior to that held senior roles at the Tarmac Group, Premier Farnell plc and ICI plc. She is a Non-Executive Director at Churchill China plc, where she chairs the Remuneration Committee, and at Zotefoams plc, where she chairs the Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Audit and Nomination Committees.
