Expanded logistics and e-commerce network to support brands in capturing cross-border opportunities

UrbanFox, an omnichannel logistics and commerce solutions provider, announced its Southeast Asia expansion today. Tapping into the established logistics network of its parent company Keppel Logistics, UrbanFox will soon be able to support brands in meeting the demands of both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) customers in Vietnam and Malaysia, enabling these brands to streamline and scale their businesses in the region.

UrbanFox made this announcement during a visit to its headquarters by Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry. The expansion was supported by Enterprise Singapore.

Mr Law Chung Ming, Director for Transport & Logistics, Enterprise Singapore, said, 'The rise of e-commerce has led to growing regional demand for logistics infrastructure and services, creating many new growth opportunities for companies in the logistics industry. UrbanFox is a good example of a forward-looking Singaporean company that is leveraging innovation to expand its business in Southeast Asia. As Singapore strives to become a key player in global supply chain solutions, I encourage more local firms to partner Enterprise Singapore and tap on our market connections to explore deploying their suite of solutions in overseas markets.'

UrbanFox has witnessed rapid growth since its official launch in October 2017. The company currently manages the logistics and e-commerce needs of more than 500 brands and over 20,000 products from various industries from food to books to fashion. Some of these brands are already looking to leverage UrbanFox's overseas expansion to better serve customers in the region.

Mr Joe Choa, Managing Director of UrbanFox, said, 'We are experienced in helping a wide variety of brands market their products on online marketplaces as well as in providing a one-stop-solution for their logistic needs, including warehousing, inventory management and last-mile fulfilment. The holistic support we can provide will help brands in the region more rapidly grow their customer base and tap cross-border opportunities.'

With the support of Enterprise Singapore, UrbanFox together with Keppel Land has established online-to-offline (O2O) capabilities at Estella Place shopping mall in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Developed and managed by Keppel Land, Estella Place was opened last year. The O2O capabilities allow customers to purchase the mall's products at its physical stores or webstore. The customers can also opt for in-mall collection or home delivery. In addition, interactive kiosks have been set up around the mall to highlight promotions and products. The integration of online and offline platforms ensures a more engaging and convenient shopping experience.

In Malaysia, UrbanFox has recently been appointed by the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) as a Cross-Border e-Commerce Initiative Partner, and plans to set-up a corporate office and digitally-enabled warehouse in Shah Alam, Selangor.

According to a Google-Temasek report, Southeast Asia's internet economy is predicted to exceed US$240 billion by 2025 as affordable mobile internet drives rapid growth in sectors such as e-commerce. In Vietnam, the e-commerce market is expected to grow from US$2.8 billion in 2018 to US$15 billion by 2025, while Malaysia's e-commerce market is expected to grow from US$2 billion in 2018 to US$7 billion by 2025.
