VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation and the largest European aircraft construction concern Airbus announced a new stage of partnership.

VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation announced about expansion of strategic partnership at during International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2017. In particular, following the results of tenders held in 2016-2017 Russian titanium corporation was chosen by Airbus as supplier of new items including machinned die forgings for А350 XWB project.

According to a new contract VSMPO-AVISMA will deliver machinned die forgings of different geometry for pylon and landing gear fastening structure for A350-900.

VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation is an important Airbus supplier covering aboout 50% of company needs in titanium products. Companies partnership started in 1990s after signing of the first agreemensts for delivery of untreated materials. Eventually the assortmrnt of supplied products was expanded and included treated parts with higher added value.

Currently VMPO-AVISMA delivers titanium forgings for all Airbus aircrafts including А320neo, А350 XWB and А380. Russian titanium is used for manufacture of the most critical parts having greater loads during flight, i.e. landing gear unit, parts of engine pylons and wing.

VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation is the world's largest titanium manufacturer with the full production cycle: from raw-material processing to release of finished machined products. It is deeply integrated into the world'd aerospace industry and also is a strategic supplier for many companies. The controlling interest in VSMPO-AVISMA is owed by the management and the blocking interest of 25% plus one share by Rostech.
