Metall Zug Group: New business unit for infrastructure and Technology Cluster Zug

Zug, November 8, 2018 - The Metall Zug Group intends to combine the development and management of its own sites in Zug and Sulgen, Canton Thurgau, to create a new business unit as of January 1, 2019.

Metall Zug wants to bring together the tasks and responsibilities for the industrial development of various sites, the establishment of the Technology Cluster in Zug and other planned infrastructure tasks. To this end, the Metall Zug sites in Sulgen, Canton Thurgau, and in Zug will be combined as of January 1, 2019 to create a new business unit for infrastructure and Technology Cluster Zug. The main tasks of the new business unit will include the further industrial development of the main V-ZUG production site in Zug, together with the establishment of a Technology Cluster in Zug, and the construction of a refrigerator factory in Sulgen, Canton Thurgau.

These tasks should thus be reflected transparently in the company reports. At present, the sites and tasks are assigned to the Household Appliances and Corporate business units. This change will also increase the focus of the operational business units.
