PPLdeclared largest corporate giver for 11thconsecutive year

KARACHI, November 10, 2015: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) was declared the largest corporate giver by volume of donations for 2013 and 2014 at the Corporate Philanthropy Awards hosted by Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy in Karachi on November 9. The company clinched the award for the10thand11thconsecutive years in the same category.

Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform ProfessorAhsanIqbalpresented the award toPPL'sManaging Director and Chief Executive OfficerSyedWamiqBokhari. The event was attended by leading businessmen, government and civil society representatives, media and donor community.

As a national company,PPLtakes pride in being a responsible corporate entity with a long-term stake in the country's development. The company believes in sharing the benefits of development with underprivileged communities, primarily in and around its operational areas. Notably, even thoughPPLhas an earmarked budget of 1.5 percent pre-tax profit for CSR activities, actual spending touches about 2.5 percent.
