Guangzhou, China, 12 November 2018. RIB Software SE, the world's leading provider of iTWO 5D BIM Cloud enterprise platform technology for the building, construction and infrastructure industry, successfully hosted its annual global community and partner event, the 6th iTWO World Conference in Guangzhou, China. The world's first artificial intelligence engineer - McTWO, made its gorgeous debut at the conference, which is a significant milestone since the company announced at the last year's conference its strategy to enter the artificial intelligence era.

The conference hosted over 800 industry leaders and iTWO partners from 26 countries in the construction ecosystem including contractors, real estate developers, material suppliers, governments, consulting companies, investors, universities, as well as cloud managed services providers, who joined the iTWO partner community for the first time.

Mr. Tom Wolf, Chairman and CEO of RIB, kicked off the event with his keynote 'McTWO meets Bauhaus'. He related construction digitalization transformation to the revolutionary spirit of Bauhaus and raised the concept of Bauhaus 4.0, in which construction should combine art, function and digitalization. RIB has been the pioneer of construction digitalization, leading the industry from the desktop 5D BIM era to the cloud era, and now to the artificial intelligence era with its first AI solution McTWO. McTWO can support onsite engineers on their daily tasks, dive deep into the project data to provide smart analytics and insights for construction management, bringing unprecedented productivity and substantially reducing project risk for companies in the industry. The company's enterprise cloud solution MTWO, launched together with the software giant Microsoft April this year, becomes the main data pool for McTWO to grow, as it connects all players and jobs to the integrated platform.

Mr. Alain Crozier, Microsoft Corporate Vice President, Chairman and CEO of Greater China region, gave an insightful presentation 'Accelerating Digital Transformation with Cloud and AI'. With an ever-growing list of innovations impacting the construction industry, Mr. Crozier predicted artificial intelligence will increasingly play an important role in the industry, utilizing the massive amount of data that can be collected from multiple devices and managed on the cloud. Microsoft and RIB has hosted a series of Hackathons since early this year to develop next-generation solutions including artificial intelligence and more.

Mr. Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Chairman and CEO of Schneider Electric, presented a talk entitled 'Powering and Digitizing the economy, unlock building value', in which he stated that the construction industry is undergoing a revolution along with the development of the internet, big data, internet of things and artificial intelligence. Digital technology, Mr. Tricoire explained, can be applied to life-cycle processes covering design, construction, operation, and maintenance, etc., to better solve the problems of energy consumption and architectural inefficiency.

Dr. Rüdiger Grube, former CEO of Deutsche Bahn AG delivered a speech 'Digital Transformation in the Railway Industry'. He highlighted that digital transformation is the name of the game in all industries. The top management should seize the opportunity from the challenge and be the driver of the transformation. To manage all the challenges, Deutsche Bahn uses BIM in their project lifecycle management, achieving the results of better planning, higher cost security and increased efficiency. They have achieved excellent results with iTWO technology in their BIM technology adoption.

iTWO World 2018 has reached a new height with the most participants ever from the iTWO community and partner groups. Over 40 thought leaders from the world's leading companies delivered in-depth presentations on real estate, enterprise digitalization, 5D BIM, cloud, artificial intelligence, modular construction and 6D facility management, providing rich digital transformation real-world cases studies and insights.

In addition to the insightful keynote speeches and exciting releases of emerging technologies, the conference also set up an on-site digital live demo zone, which was packed with attendees experiencing hands-on the cutting-edge iTWO technology.

The event closed at the end of the second day with a music wonder, in which the performance of the symphony concert was interpreted into the collaboration in the construction industry. RIB believes that promoting digitalization requires not only the technology, but also the integration of the entire value chain of the industry, and the close collaboration of all stakeholders. 'Thank you so much supporting the vision to transfer our building industry to become the most advanced and super cool industry on our planet' said Tom, 'I am very honored to be 'running together' with the great business evangelists in our industry.'
