Fosters Partnership to Support Hong Kong's Innovation Development
Sino Group celebrated the grand opening of 'Sino Inno Lab' today with a reception graced by government officials, like-minded partners and industry players. Officiating guests included Ms Ester Perets Burke, Consul, Head of Economic and Trade Mission, Consulate General of Israel in Hong Kong; Dr Daniel Yip, Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries; Mr Jeff Lin, Chief Commercial Officer and Co-Founder of Liricco Technologies Limited; Mr Toby So, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Film Players Limited, and Mr Andrew Young, Associate Director (Innovation), Sino Group.

'Innovation technology, which is the cornerstone of the development of a society, is leapfrogging. 'Sino Inno Lab' serves as a platform for tech companies to connect and interact with business partners. Technology is integral to every aspect of our lives with outstanding achievements of local and overseas innovators. Their innovation spirit and products help raise the competitiveness of Hong Kong,' said Mr Andrew Young, Associate Director (Innovation), Sino Group at the opening reception.

Provides Platform for Startups to Showcase Product Applications
Finding a platform to showcase tech products is one of the challenges for startups. Film Players Limited demonstrated their Digital Film in a simulated hotel room in the Lab. 'Digital Film is co-developed by Film Players, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL). The film is multifunctional and can be conveniently recharged with power bank. When applying on a glass window, the film can turn into a smart window to enable different shades of transparency or become a display board according to the user's needs. The product has earned numerous international awards and has been used both locally and overseas,' said Mr Toby So of Film Players.

Mr Jeff Lin of Liricco Technologies Limited introduced the Smart Car Park Lighting System which integrates multiple functions such as energy saving, data collection and security alert. It is now on pilot in the car park of Olympian City 3. The system can turn on and off the lights or adjust their brightness based on the extent of sunlight and the usage patterns of the drivers and passers-by, enabling substantial energy saving. The system also collects data and sends out security alert when irregularity arises. Jeff is grateful to 'Sino Inno Lab' for helping startups in expanding businesses, networks and new markets.

Encourages Collaboration to Explore New Horizons
'Sino Inno Lab' also brings in outstanding tech products from overseas. Ms Ester Perets Burke of the Consulate General of Israel in Hong Kong introduced the Israel-made Active Noise Cancellation Technology which can be applied on household amenities to facilitate a tranquil home environment.

Strengthens PropTech to Enrich Smart Living Experience
'Sino Inno Lab' showcases diverse cutting-edge innovative products and solutions which can be applied to hotels, residences, shopping malls and property management to enhance services. Artificial Intelligence is applied in some of the exhibits to enrich customers' experience and explore new potential in smart living, enabling the property industry to create a smarter community.
