Nicola Bedin (www.nicolabedin.it) was appointed chairman of Snam by the company's Shareholders' Meeting on 18 June 2020.

Entrepreneur, 43, graduated with 110/110 cum laude in Business Administration from Bocconi University, Nicola Bedin began his professional career as a financial analyst at Mediobanca. In 2004 he was asked by professor Giuseppe Rotelli to be his assistant at the San Donato Hospital Group. One year later he was appointed CEO. From October 2005 to September 2017 he was CEO of the San Donato Hospital Group, the leading Italian operator in the hospital sector. Over these twelve years, the group's annual revenues grew from approximately € 600 million to € 1.6 billion. He was also CEO of the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital from May 2012 (date when it entered the Group's perimeter) until September 2017, personally leading the reorganization and relaunch of the hospital. From 2015 until September 2017 he was also CEO of the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.

At the beginning of 2018 he launched Lifenet Healthcare, an entrepreneurial initiative in the healthcare sector which today includes ten hospital and outpatient companies and employs about 800 people, with a presence in Lombardy, Piedmont and Emilia-Romagna.

From 2016 to April 2019 he was a non-executive director of Italgas, where he was also chairman of the Sustainability Committee and a member of the Control and Risks and Related Party Transactions Committee.
