Sunrise Communications : sweeps the competition aside in customer barometer

PC Magazin and its sister magazine PCgo carried out the 2019 customer barometer across the DACH region. Customers were questioned about the largest internet providers, and once the results were in, the magazines named Sunrise the winner in Switzerland. 342 Swiss customers were asked about the reliability and speed of their network connection, the price-performance ratio, and their satisfaction with their provider's customer service. In the latter category, customers were asked how many attempts it takes to resolve a problem, how quickly customer service responds to an enquiry, how friendly the staff are, and the quality of service. In addition, the magazine reviewed which providers offer the most attractive hardware and software products, and which brand has the highest recommendation rate.

In the 'rates and bills' category in particular, Sunrise leaves both of its competitors, Swisscom and UPC, in the dust. Sunrise received a WEKA Promoter Score (WPS) of 121, while its competitors had to make do with scores of 93 and 89 respectively. Sunrise was also the clear winner in the 'customer service' and 'market/provider' (recommendation) categories, gaining 112 and 116 points, respectively, and outperforming its competitors. Altogether, Sunrise achieved an average WPS of 112 across all five categories, and was given an overall rating of 1.9 by PC Magazine and PCgo (using a German grading system where 1.9 is classed as 'good to very good', 1 = best and 6 = worst).
