TAV Group President & CEO Sani Şener ranked seventh in the power 100 list of Construction Week Magazine, which is one of the most prestigious publications of the industry, in the Gulf Region. Şener has become the one and only Turkish businessperson in the top 10 ranking of the list for the last three years.

TAV Group President & CEO Sani Şener was listed the seventh most powerful leader of the construction companies operating in the Gulf region by Construction Week magazine. The magazine highlighted that TAV built up a portfolio of completed and ongoing projects worth more than $19 bln since its establishment and had more than 30,000 employees including 1,570 engineers working in the Gulf Region.

TAV has its signature at 13 airports in six countries

Having topped the list of ENR in airport construction industry for the last three years, TAV Construction has undertaken several projects having a total contract value of $19 bln since its establishment. The company has recently been awarded the construction of Bahrain Airport following the construction of airports located at the capital cities of Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

TAV Airports also operates Madinah Airport in Saudi Arabia. The company included three more airports to its portfolio by a recent agreement signed. TAV will invest US$400 mln for the expansion of Yanbu, Qassim and Hail airports. Moreover, together with TAV IT, ATU Duty Free, BTA, Havaş TAV Operation Services, the subsidiaries of the company, TAV provides services at Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah airports besides Madinah Airport.

TAV also has operations at Abu Dhabi and Dubai in United Arab Emirates, Doha in Qatar; Salalah and Muscat in Oman; Queen Alia in Jordan and Bahrain airports in Bahrain.

Şener in the top 10 list for the last three years

The list was determined by analyzing the works of business people, employee numbers, the revenues, the current and future projects, general status in the market and operation levels in the construction sector of the region. In addition the companies were evaluated in terms of their attitudes towards economic parameters, the strategies, which they adapt to continue growth, their flexibilities and adaptation for the obstacles and problems.

Şener ranked 10th and 9th businessperson in the Power 100 list in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
