"Zaporozhtransformator" PJSC (ZTR) has signed new contract with АВВ company (Poland). According to the contract terms, ZTR for the first time will supply the unique three-phase controlled shunt reactor 67/28,9 MVAr, 110 kV, equipped with on-load tap changer. Reactor is purposed for compensation of reactive power at wind-type power plant Lotnisko (Poland).

Generating Poland company PGE is the final customer according this project.

By means of this supply ZTR discovers for itself new type of shunt reactor. As mentioned by ZTR specialists, this will be the first controlled shunt reactor developed in CIS countries which varies its properties using mechanical tap changer rather than by thyristor control unit. New reactors with mechanical tap changers could be used in electric circuits with scheduled (seasonal, daily) variation of the loads.

At the present, development of design documents related to the project is in process.

Implementation of new type of equipment will allow for ZTR improvement of competitiveness level of the company and mastering of new market segment of foreign and CIS countries, as well as ensure achievement of significant economic effect.

Equipment will be manufactured and dispatched from the factory till September 2015.
