In his past career Dr. Byron occupied the position of Director at Nighthawk Gold Corp., President & Chief Executive Officer at Inventus Mining Corp., Director & Vice President-Exploration at Falco Resources Ltd., Vice President-Exploration of Aurora Platinum Corp., Vice President-Exploration at Lake Shore Gold Corp. and Vice President-Exploration for Eagle Mountain Gold Corp.

He received a doctorate from Carleton University, a graduate degree from the University of Laurentian and an undergraduate degree from State University of New York College at Geneseo.
