Prior to joining Lucent's New Ventures Group in 1998, his experiences include eight years of corporate finance and investment banking activities.
Previously, he worked as an executive in the Corporate Finance group at Ernst & Young, where he focused on providing companies with M&A and private capital sourcing services.
Before joining Ernst & Young in 1995, Mr. Abrahams spent five years as an investment banker at Kidder, Peabody & Co. Mr. Abrahams spent five years previously as an auditor at Coopers & Lybrand.
Mr. Abrahams holds an MBA degree from The Harvard Business School, a BS degree in Accounting summa cum laude from Virginia State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
He has served on the boards of several portfolio companies and was formerly on the Board of Advisors of Technology Ventures Incubator at Stevens Institute of Technology.
He is a recipient of The Network Journal Forty under Forty Awards.
