Mr. Klein joined People's in 1971 as a management trainee.
His promotion in 1999 to president and CEO, and on Jan.
1, 2000, to chairman of the board, reflects an impressive career at People's Bank during which his vision and values have helped distinguish People's as a diversified financial services company.
He received his bachelor's degree in 1971 and his law degree in 1977, both from the University of Connecticut.
