Prior to joining American Real Estate Partners, Mr. Chesley served as a Senior Asset Manager within the real estate fund division of The Carlyle Group.
Prior to his tenure at The Carlyle Group, he worked as an Associate within the principal investing division of Morgan Stanley Real Estate in New York where he oversaw the investment management of a multi-asset real estate investment portfolio consisting of core, opportunistic and separate account assets throughout the U.S.
He began his career as a Senior Consultant within the real estate advisory practice at Ernst & Young in New York.
Mr. Chesley holds a Masters in taxation and finance from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.B.A in finance and accounting from The University of Miami.
