Marco Drago

Since 1997, Marco Drago is the president of the Italian family group De Agostini Spa, the holding company of De Agostini group.

Born in province of Turin, he moved to Milan to study at Bocconi University in Milan, from where he exited in 1969 with a degree in economics. In the same year, he began his career, integrating the family business, where he joined the De Agostini Geographic institute.

He quickly climbed the pyramid, to become Chairman of De Agostini. In the 80’s and 90’s he was CEO of the group. This period represented a crucial phase in the development of the company, and the group gained power in Italy and abroad.

In 2000, he adopted a strategy of diversification and aimed to development of lottery games and services sector with Lottomatica and Gtech. De Agostini entered also in the sector of media and communications with Antena 3 television in Spain; Mikado Film and Magnolia in Italy. The group is also diversified into insurance and finance sectors with DeA Capital.

Since October 2006, he is chairman of the board of B&D Holding, family holding crated to ensure the cohesion of shareholders in the log-term decisions. He is also Vice President of Planeta De Agostini Group, director of Antenna 3, Lottomatica, DeA Capital, De Agostini Editore, of Edition Atlas (France) and S. Faustin (Techint Group).
