Michael Wade was founder & chairman of Holman Wade Group - a Lloyd’s broking firm from 1980 to 1993 (merged and then listed within the Horace Clarkson PLC floatation during 1986 – appointed a director).
He left Horace Clarkson group to found Corporate Lloyd’s Membership in 1993 – subsequently appointed chief executive of the Stock Exchange listed CLM Insurance Fund plc from 1993 to 1999.
CLM merged with SVB Holdings PLC during 1999.
He has also served on the Council and Committee of Lloyd’s (1988 to 1992) and on the Rowland Taskforce in conjunction with McKinsey & Co (1991-1992) setting out a future framework for the Lloyd’s Market subsequently adopted and forms that basis of the present structure.
In 2000 he co-founded Rostrum Group Ltd which was an investment management company regulated by the Financial Services Authority liquidated in July 2009.
