Prior to his current position with Teachers', Mr. McCague was Senior Vice-President, Quantitative Investments.
In this role, his team ran the fund's Canadian stock index portfolio and Golden Apple Income Inc., a subsidiary of Teachers'.
Before joining Teachers' in 1993, Mr. McCague held senior investment positions with the Ontario Workers' Compensation Board, Alberta Teachers' Retirement Fund, James P.
Marshall Inc., Manulife's pension investment area, Federal Trust, the Bank of Nova Scotia and Wood Gundy.
Mr. McCague received his BA in Economics from Loyola College in Montreal (now Concordia University).
He is a member of the Trading Advisory Committee of the Toronto Stock Exchange and a member of the Toronto Stock Exchange/Standard and Poor’s Blue Ribbon Panel on changes to the composition of equity indexes in Canada.
He is also President of the Buy-side Investment Management Association.
