Profile

Prior to co-founding Ironside in 2000, Mr. Gilbert had a long-standing career with Citizens Financial Group, Inc., the United States banking subsidiary of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group.
He was a Senior Vice President in the company's Corporate Banking Group and also held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of the bank's commercial equipment finance subsidiary, a fast growing source of funding for technology equipment for large companies and middle market businesses nationwide.
Mr. Gilbert brings several years of experience in the technology and investment fields.
He has been engaged in notable investments such as NewRiver, Inc.; V-Span, Inc.; and SilverBack Technologies, Inc. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of The Children's Museum of Boston.
Mr. Gilbert received his BA with honors from Wesleyan University in 1985, and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island in 1991.
