Steve Krupa

Mr. Steven J.
Krupa is a Managing Director at Nuveen Asset Management LLC.
He manages separate accounts for the Municipal Fixed Income Team, focused primarily in the Northeast.
He began his career in the financial services industry in 1979 when he joined the firm’s Municipal Research Department as an analyst.
Prior to his current portfolio management role, Mr. Krupa was the head of Municipal Trading Operations for Nuveen Asset Management for six years.
In 1990, he moved over to Nuveen Asset Management as a mutual fund and closed-end fund portfolio manager.
Previously, he was a municipal bond trader, responsible for trading the firm’s capital.
Mr. Krupa is currently a member of the Chicago Municipal Analysts Society and was formerly a member of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board.
Mr. Krupa received a B.A.
in business from Illinois Benedictine College and an M.B.A.
in finance from DePaul University.
