Steve is an experienced investment manager, director and executive in early stage and high growth businesses.
As a Senior Investment Manager he is responsible for managing a portfolio of Oxford spin outs, representing the University’s equity interests and contributing to the growth of the companies.
Steve also represents the University in the wider investor community.
Prior to joining OUI Steve was an investment manager for Powerhouse Ventures, an ASX listed IP investment company, where he generated and managed a portfolio of university spin outs, building relationships with New Zealand universities.
He has been an incubator manager, and has held chair, board and CEO roles in a range of sectors from high value manufacturing, consumer goods, biotech and medical devices, and from start up through to exit.
He has a degree in Biology from the University of Sussex, an MBA from the University of Otago, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
