Tim Nakagawa

Mr. Tim Nakagawa is an Advisor at Centara Capital Management Group, Inc. Mr. Nakagawa is a member if the CCG Investment and Risk Oversight Committee.
He is the Portfolio Manager for the Centara Kuma Fund.
He began his career in 1993 as a financial analyst at the Union Bank of Switzerland.
In 1994, he joined Aggressive Growth Partners, a Los Angeles based long short hedge fund that grew to $400MM in assets, as an equity analyst and later promoted to Head of Short Selling.
From 1996 to 2007, Mr. Nakagawa was an independent consultant and equities analyst.
During this time, he produced equities research reports for “The Balance Sheet Watch” an accounting and investment newsletter which identified companies with “red flags” and “The Short Seller’s Report”, a newsletter which issued specific short sale recommendations.
In October 2002, he founded Daimyo Capital, LLC, a consulting and equities research firm advising hedge funds, mutual funds and other large financial institutions.
From 2007 to 2010, Mr. Nakagawa served as Senior Analyst for Short Portfolios at Waterloo International Advisors LLC, a $390MM short-oriented hedge fund.
Mr. Nakagawa received a B.S.
in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
