RECTIFICATION OF

BoD CANDIDATES' DECLARATIONS

Genoa, 30 January 2020 - Banca CARIGE S.p.A. informs that, on 29 January 2020, it received from the Interbank Deposit Protection Fund (FITD) a notice of rectification of the documents submitted by FITD when it filed its list of candidates for appointment to the Bank's Board of Directors, which is on the agenda of Carige's Ordinary Shareholders Meeting of 31 January 2020.

More specifically, FITD declared that, due to a clerical error, the candidates, Ms. Sabrina Bruno and Ms. Paola Demartini, had indicated in their respective declarations accompanying the FITD candidates' list that they qualified as independent directors solely pursuant to the Consolidated Law on Finance and not also pursuant to Article 18, paragraph 4, of the Bank's Articles of Association. The candidates have therefore submitted new declarations stating that that they meet the independence requirement also in accordance with the Bank's Articles of Association.

Banca CARIGE S.p.A. has likewise received today a notice of rectification of a clerical error from Cassa Centrale Banca - Credito Cooperativo Italiano S.p.A.. Enclosed with the notice were the amended declarations of the candidates, Mr. Leopoldo Scarpa and Mr. Vittorio Canciani Battain, accepting their candidature and prospective appointment as members of the Board of Directors and certifying the non-existence of reasons for ineligibility, removal from office and incompatibility, as well as the existence of the independence requirements.

The afore-mentioned notices and the related declarations have been made available at the Bank's registered office, on the Bank's corporate website www.gruppocarige.it(under Governance/Shareholders' Meetings), on the authorised storage portal eMarket Storage (www.emarketstorage.com) and through all other means allowed by applicable regulations in force.
