Health-care companies rose as traders rotated into sectors that could benefit from inflationary trends.

Pfizer shares rose after President Biden said the U.S. has purchased 10 million treatment courses of Pfizer's antiviral pill for high-risk Covid-19 patients.

CVS Health, the largest U.S. pharmacy chain by branches, says it will close 900 stores over the next three years, nearly 10% of its U.S. locations, while adding more health services at remaining locations. Shares of CVS rose after it reiterated its growth targets for the year.
