FTSE 100 to Edge Higher After Mixed Asia Trading

The FTSE 100 Index is tipped to open four points higher at 7,222, according to CMC Markets, after mixed trading in Asia and a lower close on Wall Street. Markets in China and Hong Kong are in negative territory, but Japan's Nikkei 225 edges 0.1% higher. The Dow closed 0.3% down. "As we look ahead to today's European session, the rebound off the lows in the U.S. does appear to set us up for a positive open," CMC analyst Michael Hewson says.
