May 13 (Reuters) - Deutsche Bank has appointed healthcare investment banking expert Priyanka Verma as a managing director and Americas head of its pharma services and diagnostics division, the German lender said on Thursday.

Verma was most recently a managing director in healthcare investment banking at HSBC, a statement from Deutsche said. She has worked with clients including Thermo Fisher , IQVIA Holdings and PPD Inc.

Verma also advised Canadian digital healthcare company Well Health on its nearly $300 million acquisition of CRH Medical Corp, and private equity firm KKR on its acquisitions of clinical trial firm PRA Health Sciences and RPS.

"Priya's appointment demonstrates our continued investment in our Healthcare platform, which we expect to continue this year," Drew Goldman, global head of investment banking coverage, said in the statement.
