New York, January 18, 2021: Julie Goosman has been appointed Global Insurance Tax Leader for the PwC Network with effect from January 1, 2021.

Julie is a tax partner specializing in the area of insurance taxation and most recently led the Insurance Tax Practice at PwC US. She has 27 years of public accounting experience with the firm, working extensively on tax considerations for global life, reinsurance, health and property and casualty companies.

Julie specializes in consulting clients on tax considerations for insurance company transactions, as well as corporate restructurings, for-profit conversion transactions, reinsurance arrangements, and stock transactions.

Julie is the President of the Insurance Tax Conference Executive Committee and Board, and a frequent speaker at the Insurance Tax Conference and the Blue Cross Blue Shield national and regional tax conferences. Julie co-authored articles on the application of tax-free contribution provisions to intercompany reinsurance transactions and an article on the taxation of captive insurance companies.
