BEIJING (Reuters) - Electric vehicle (EV) maker BYD has agreed to build a new EV battery factory in the eastern Chinese city of Bengbu which will have an annual manufacturing capacity of 20 gigawatt hours (GWh), the city's government said in a statement on Tuesday.
Total investment for Shenzhen-based BYD's new factory will be 6 billion yuan ($916.55 million), it said.
