BEIJING, April 17 (Reuters) - A U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon transited the Taiwan Strait in international airspace on April 17, the U.S. navy said on Wednesday.
"The aircraft's transit of the Taiwan Strait demonstrates the United States' commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific", it said in a statement. (Reporting by Ryan Woo; Editing by Muralikumar Anantharaman)
